Jewelry has an effect on your attitude. Wearing a certain color, like royal blue or turquoise helps me feel like royalty, calm and ready to face the day.
Creating jewelry to match a certain outfit, to accessorize for a life event or just for fun makes me happy.
Have you bought a necklace set for a special occasion? What occasion?
I bought a Judaica Chai necklace from Israel (from my husband) as an anniversary gift and remember our anniversary and our love each time I wear it.
Today I am wearing a turquoise and red crocheted wire necklace with a mint green top with pink and blue embroidered flowers and birds on it. The blue is the unifying color and it pops out of the necklace and my long sleeved top. The colors I'm wearing make me feel springy and cheerful.
Turquoise is one of my favorite colors for clothing and jewelry. I call it a feel good color. Turquoise is the color of royalty because the gemstone was originally only worn by royalty because of the price.
Did you know I didn't get my ears pierced until about 6 years ago? One of my coworkers suggested that I get them pierced so I could wear my own designs. Now, I'm hooked on fishhook earwires.
What are your favorite earwires? posts? fishhooks? leverbacks?
In general, jewelry lets me be bolder than I really am and makes me feel that my outfit is complete. Now, if I don't wear earrings and a necklace, I feel naked.
I laugh at myself because sometimes I really do wash floors while still wearing my pearls (like June Cleaver in Leave it to Beaver).
How does jewelry make YOU feel?
Are there any color combinations or jewelry styles that you'd like to see in my shops? I design with color meanings and gemstone characteristics in mind.
