Over the weekend, I did manage to stop at Elgin’s Art and Soul craft show. I saw my fellow jewelry designer, Linda Huff, who I met at a show we both did a few years ago in Schaumburg. I was able to give her a short break to change her set up clothes and I sold 1 of her bracelets. Yay! Linda sells at shows and doesn’t have an online presence yet. I visit her at this show and don’t participate because it’s a 3-day show and it’s outside – I don’t have a tent.
At the show, I bought these adorable handmade chicks from Ashley. You can find her blog here. These are going to be gifts for a few friends. Hope they’re not reading this, LOL.
There were a lot of jewelry booths and of course I visited most of them. Also, there were fine art, photography, cards, and even handmade wood furniture. I only saw 1 booth that might have not been handmade. I hope the artists did well.
Sometimes on the weekends, I go to garage sales. Here’s what I bought for 1:
| Jewelry Box | Necklace Holder |
Last, I made a chain for one of my friends, who bought this pendant. The chains on the necklace holder are also hers, I just added closings.
What do you like about visiting craft shows and garage sales?
