What's the Best Vacation You Ever Had? EtsyBloggers Blog Carnival

I'm an EtsyBlogger team member and am choosing the question, "What's the best vacation your ever had?"

I have 2 favorites, one with my girlfriends a couple of years ago to Vegas, Baby, Vegas and another with John several decades ago to San Francisco, my first time in California. I haven't taken a vacation with a girlfriend since John was in the Reserves decades ago.

Now these are great friends, who have the gift of laughter and sarcasm. One is very tall and slim and we look like Mutt and Jeff walking down the street and when the 3 of us get together, the laughs don't stop until you're crying. Usually, there's alcohol involved too, but the other 2 were sick that weekend. So, I had to drink alone.

The purpose of the trip was to see The Beatles Love Cirque de Soleil show at the Mirage, which was fabulous.

We walked along the strip, went to the outlet mall, saw Mama Mia and an old fashioned magic show. I don't remember the guy's name, but I'm sure I saved it somewhere because he worked with animals and had a reserve or shelter. And I don't mean cats and dogs, I mean lions and tigers.

Not one of us likes to gamble, I think I spent $5 just because. And one friend's brother used to live in Vegas so he gave her money to spend on a particular machine. We all did and lost.

The hotel environments were fabulous and we went to the buffets of course. But my favorite was breakfast at Denny's where I ordered 3 sides of pancakes. My computer with the pictures died, thank goodness.

John, my husband of 100 years, took me to California and we went to LA and San Francisco. I loved San Francisco and my favorite part was the Japanese Tea Garden. We spent a lot of time walking around and I didn't want to leave.

Another favorite place was Fisherman's Wharf and he took me to a restaurant that one of his former teacher's family owned. The food was fabulous. Oh, and the Bay Bridge was amazing, so long and a little scary to me. I liked seeing Alcatraz, but at the time you couldn't visit.

So, it seems I like the western U.S. states since we live in the Midwest.

Tell me about your favorite vacation too.

Storage and Work Space

Frequently, I see posts and images from handmade artisans' work spaces and storage places. I work full time for a professional membership organization and I create jewelry on the dining room table, stamp greeting cards and thank you notes upstairs on my drafting table and photography "studio" and have 2 computers on each floor for my use.

And, I use one of my kitchen counters for bottlecap and glass tile magnets and pendants.
Here's one of the places I store my beads, which was given to me by a friend. This is behind my dining room table where I sit and create jewelry.

Here are some supplies that I used to make some earrings and bracelets.
